LIUNA's Link named to Lignite Energy Council Board of Directors

Laborers’ District Council of Minnesota and North Dakota employee – Pamela Link – was recently named to the Lignite Energy Council Board of Directors, providing a strong opportunity for labor to play a stronger role in protecting vital jobs in the coal industry.

Link – based in North Dakota – is the works as the governmental affairs and business development director in the state.

“Our members have been working in the coal-fired power plants in central North Dakota for more than 45 years and we need to work harder to secure coal’s seat on the national energy scene, “ she said. “Coal is an important part of North Dakota’s economic strength and for our union.”

Link also serves on the North Dakota Workers’ Safety and Insurance board of directors, representing labor.
